Living and Training Sustainably

In a world full of fad diets, get fit quick schemes and overnight success stories, I wonder, is all this instant gratification sustainable?

I always look at what I do and ask myself, "Can I sustain this for a long period of time. Is the impact from this going to haunt me when I get older." If the answer is yes, I honestly step back and remember that I want to be dancing at 100 years old. Not in a wheelchair or burned out.

Remember that consistency is the key to long term success. All good things come with consistency and patience. So look at your life and if you're doing something super extreme to get where you want to be, you might want to check your ego and have patience. Enjoy the process. Be present and get into the flow of life.

What have I been up to?

Here's a little summary of my past couple weeks. Lots of fun, exciting ventures!!

I recently joined BNI (Business Networking International). This is an amazing way for any and all businesses to network with other local business and increase your client base. It's been an amazing experience so far! I finally found a group of professional, driven and supportive individuals to network with in Nanaimo. I'm so grateful to be part of this team. I've started doing a lot of personal training and small group classes with the members of this group and their people. Private fitness training, men's only yoga and couples yoga to name a few. It's been a great opportunity to help the team with their health and fitness. One of the members has also referred me to a local community of residents with dementia, where I did some laughter yoga with a group of elders. This was an absolute blast! The opportunity to bring laughter and joy to the dementia clinic was a very special experience. Very excited to do more in the near future. Stay tuned for more updates on what I'm up to. Lots of excitement happening every day!! : )

20 minute full body stretch

In this video, we do a full body stretch in 20 minutes.

This will help you gain more mobility and release a lot of tension and stress in your physical body.

This physical stiffness leads to all sorts of pain and discomfort. Which leads to having a negative attitude and perspective on life. Because it's hard to be happy and positive when you're in pain.

This video is great for any and all demographics. If done consistently, I promise it will make a huge impact on your physical and mental health.

Enjoy!!

Commit to Your Dreams

Hey folks,

Today I want to talk about the power of commitment. I've noticed a lot of people half-assing their ventures lately and it hurts my heart to see them fall and not get up.

Anything that is valuable in life, takes a lot of hard work and determination to achieve. Period!

So if you really want something, you're going to have to be determined and ready to work your ass off when things get hard. This applies to any area of your life.

The best way to pick yourself up when you fall is to remember your WHY. Why are you pursuing your dreams? Keep your eyes on the prize! This will help motivate you when times get tough. Your why is usually something bigger than you, so that should help you with accountability.  Remember who will benefit from your success. The list is usually really inspiring.

And lastly, if you need support, encouragement, guidance, motivation, and/or empowerment, I might know a guy that can help. ; )

Feel free to reach out and I'll help you gain clarity and hold you accountable. Because we all have the ability to live a life full of passion and purpose, but sometimes we could use some support. That's where I come in. : )

Fire me an email with any questions that may come up.
